We spent a great day with old friends who were in town. It was so great to spend time with them. Lots of laughs.

We met some new people today who kept telling us how cute our son is.

I snuck a few minutes of shopping into my day today. Not long, maybe 15 minutes, but it was a nice break in the day.

I got flowers today randomly from a friend because I was having a rough work week. It was the sweetest thought and made my day!

Today was a good day because I heard Today Was A Good Day by Ice Cube.

I was at the Mirage hotel today for a luncheon.  I went to the restroom prior to the lunch.  One of the cleaning crew and I had the following exchange.

Me:  Hello, how are you?
Her: Hello.  I'm having a great, great day
Me:  It must be a great day if you said it twice
Her:  It is.  I've got a job.  Actually, I've got a job I love, it makes me so happy
Me:  Good for you.  Hope you continue to have a great day!

You've got to love the great positive attitude from this woman.  She's doing a job most people would not want to do (cleaning bathrooms) yet she is HAPPY.  It helped get me out of a negative funk I was in and reminded me to keep things in perspective.

A friend of mine posted a blog post on facebook from a friend about getting rid of the negative voices and negative attitudes in your life. It was all about getting rid of the self hate. I've been pretty bad lately about beating myself up about stuff and this was such a great reminder to stop dogging on myself so much.

My son likes to share his food with me. It's so cute to see how proud he is when he does it.

I had to take my son to urgent care today and people were all respectful even though the wait was very long.

I went to an event today where vendors were trying to connect with the guests. While my work didn't connect with many of the companies but I did make connections with people. It was it nice to see people being genuinely nice, even when the connection was not there.

I had an interesting and frustrating day. I'm just so lucky I have an amazing husband to help me see a new perspective, and a great group of online friends that I can be open and honest with and tell my deepest feelings. I hope everyone has this in their lives.

I had the best conversation with a sales person today. I know he is trying to sell me something, but he said I was a great conversation to end the day.

I got to enjoy the warmth and sunshine at lunch today. I enjoyed it too much- I am sunburnt!

I was in a training, and the presenter was really inspiring.

My check out girl started a nice conversation with me from the shirt I was wearing. She also gave me a recommendation for a restaurant near where I work.

Girls just wanna have fun is on. Best random television. I love this movie and it's a great end to a very trying day.

I got a great parking spot today while trying to park in a casino. If you've ever parked in a large building you know how long of a walk it can be if you don't get a good spot.

A young man held the door for me while walking into a building today. I was not that close to the door so he had to hold it for a bit longer than normal. He said "you're welcome" when I said thank you.

I was told I have a great energy today. This was the second time someone has said that to me!

I saw a car accident today. I was touched at how many people not involved in the accident got out of their cars to see how they could help.

I got the nicest email from a friend today who made me feel good about what I am doing with my work. I was having a rough day and it made me feel so much better.

I went to Costco today. I saw a woman let not one but two customers who only had one or two items go in front of her.

We went to a broadway show in the new performing arts center in Las Vegas today. I randomly struck up a conversation with the gentleman in front of me in line for the bar, and it ends up he is a graduate of the college where I work and could be a donor for me. Who knew the random conversation could lead to success at work?

I took the day off today, and spent the day shopping and cleaning. My husband cleaned a bunch too so our house was not in shambles when friends came over.

My baby board girls and I had a great time online today. We decided that we were going to send each other silver sequin capris to each other when we are having a bad week. It was one of the funniest conversations I've had in a long time and we all will feel a little better when we get the pants in the mail!

Getting around a college campus can be difficult. The buildings may or may not have names, you might be walking the wrong way, etc. That is why today i was do pleased to see a student helping a couple of people get to the part of campus where they needed to go.

My husbands main project for work is going through a big transition, which started today. He said everyone he worked with to implement the changes have been understanding and even nice!

April 2

I made the mistake of trying to do two things at once today, and accidentally booked the same flight twice for my son and I. Luckily a quick call to Southwest customer service and we got the second set of flights cancelled. The customer service rep was the nicest person, laughed when I made fun of my mistake and was just a nice person on the phone. Southwest might not have all the bells and whistles of other airlines, but they have great customer service.

We had the nicest waitress at breakfast this morning. She paid extra attention to our son and he loved it!
