We went to a broadway show in the new performing arts center in Las Vegas today. I randomly struck up a conversation with the gentleman in front of me in line for the bar, and it ends up he is a graduate of the college where I work and could be a donor for me. Who knew the random conversation could lead to success at work?

I took the day off today, and spent the day shopping and cleaning. My husband cleaned a bunch too so our house was not in shambles when friends came over.

My baby board girls and I had a great time online today. We decided that we were going to send each other silver sequin capris to each other when we are having a bad week. It was one of the funniest conversations I've had in a long time and we all will feel a little better when we get the pants in the mail!

Getting around a college campus can be difficult. The buildings may or may not have names, you might be walking the wrong way, etc. That is why today i was do pleased to see a student helping a couple of people get to the part of campus where they needed to go.

My husbands main project for work is going through a big transition, which started today. He said everyone he worked with to implement the changes have been understanding and even nice!

April 2

I made the mistake of trying to do two things at once today, and accidentally booked the same flight twice for my son and I. Luckily a quick call to Southwest customer service and we got the second set of flights cancelled. The customer service rep was the nicest person, laughed when I made fun of my mistake and was just a nice person on the phone. Southwest might not have all the bells and whistles of other airlines, but they have great customer service.

We had the nicest waitress at breakfast this morning. She paid extra attention to our son and he loved it!
